Dot to Dot is my personal blog. It grew out another blog I wrote for the TrackerNews project, a demo aggregator developed for InSTEDD, an independent spin-off of Google.org focused humanitarian response and early disease detection.
The TrackerNews Editor's blog (which is archived on this site) covered a broad beat: global health, the environment, resource issues, energy, humanitarian work and technology as applied to all of the above. Dot to Dot covers many of the same topics, as well as more personal interests and stories.
The vizlearning blog is co-written with my colleague Stuart J. Murphy, author of the MathStart and I See I Learn books. The focus is on the series, early childhood education and visual learning. Although much of our posting has shifted to social media, many of the posts on the site remain relevant for quite a long time so are recycled through social media. The blog also provides a format that allows us, in a sense, to archive posts in a way that the ephemeral nature of social media does not.
News from the… is an ongoing personal photographic project. For the last several years, I have created a photograph to send to a small circle of friends. The blog is a collection of the best.
